Pathways In Life

Scripture:  Ephesians 5:8-10 – “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.  Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to  the Lord.

Walking Up The King’s Highway - God’s love for us along the way must be shared with others.  Encourage those who are struggling on their particular pathway in life.  We have the light of Jesus to guide us—but do they?  While on your pathway, apply God’s Word for wisdom, deep spiritual understanding, and focus.  A “good eye” is one that is fixed on God.  Follow Christ to show you how to overcome various obstacles.  Beware of sidetracks of the flesh, the world, and the devil.  Move ahead doing the work the Father has already prepared for you to do.

Avoid all pathways of discrimination of nationality, race, education level, social standing, wealth, gender, religion, or power!  Christ breaks down all barriers and accepts all people who come to Him.  By your obedient walk with the Father, others can be influenced to receive and experience God’s AGAPE love.  Do not reluctantly drag your feet.  God can overrule any opposition.  Preoccupation with anxiety, fear and with trouble can only immobilize.  A walking faith with God will move you to action.

Follow the King with a clean heart:  As a follower of Christ, some pathways include STOP SIGNS to reveal dangers of “hidden sin” within our hearts (Jeremiah 17:9).  Do not ignore the sign, “DANGER WITHIN.”  Ask God to give you a desire to trust and follow Him more closely as He reveals areas of pride, selfishness, self-will, disbelief, doubt and unforgiveness in you.  Recognize sin, admit sin, and take steps to remove it.  True repentance does not just end with words of confession—that would be mere lip service.  It must lead to a changed mind and corrected behavior.  As you change your mind and attitude, remember that God can change attitudes and hearts of others too.  He is able to renew minds and rebuild broken lives.  No one is so far away from God that he or she cannot be redirected.  The same grace God has given us to walk—He gives to others on their particular paths.  God’s laws are written in the Bible and are clearly evident in this world.  Let go of reasoning and let God.

Remember that great SIGNPOST: “I’LL NEVER LEAVE YOU, NOR FORSAKE YOU.  Love His HOLY WAY since it is the only way (John 14:6).
Walk With The King Today And Be A Blessing!  Daily guided by the Holy Spirit with much prayer and God’s promises—edify others for their spiritual benefit to walk worthy of Christ’s calling.  Move confidently on the path God has placed you on.  Christ is on your side seated at the Father’s right hand.  Therefore, travel in the authority of Christ.  You are spiritually united with the Sovereign Holy One who will make your way straight.  Stay encouraged as His glory is shown.  You have a great testimony.

Prayer:  Thank you Lord for your Word, presence, promises, and power allowing us to walk by faith.
