God is My Peace
Scripture: Isaiah 26:3-4 – You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You,
because he trusts in You.4 Trust in the Lord forever, for in Yah, the Lord, is everlasting strength.
There is no peace in life if God is not your peacemaker. God is the only one who can bring peace in this life. It begins with Him (God). (1 ) As the prophet Isaiah said, Real peace and perfect peace begins when a person puts his/her total trust and confidence in God through a personal relationship with Jesus. The Bible says in Romans 5:1 – Therefore having been justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. That is our beginning of having peace with God in a personal relationship. (2 ) As I am daily walking with my Lord Jehovah, I have to know that He has control over everything that is going on around me. He is omniscient (knows everything). He is omnipotent (has all power), and He is omnipresent (is everywhere). I can rest in peace because Jehovah Shalom is my peace, and I know that my relationship is secure in Him! When we are devoted to the Lord with our whole heart, we will have a steady and stable mind. That lets us know that we are supported by God’s unchanging love and mighty power! It is nothing like having peace of mind, which surpasses all understanding --that will guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus our Lord! (Philippians 4:6-7) (3 ) The peace that God gives is different from the world’s peace (John 14:27) – Jesus’ peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you – not as the world gives. True peace is not found in positive thinking or in the absence of conflict or in good feelings. God’s peace comes from knowing that God is in control. According to God’s Word, the Holy Spirit also gives us peace in the midst of our trouble (Galatians 5:22) The Holy Spirit fills us with God’s peace. Sin, fear, doubt, and numerous other forces are at war within us, but the peace that comes from God and the power of the Holy Spirit restrains those hostile forces and gives us comfort in place of conflict and worrying. Jesus promises us perfect and true peace as we keep our mind and heart trusting in Him -- Jehovah Shalom. God is our peace! Hallelujah! Thank You Jesus for Your peace!
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father: I thank You for Your peace that surpasses all understanding. I can rest in You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
