The Lord's Benefits

Scripture:  Psalms 103:1-5 - Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! 2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: 3 Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, 4 Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

We all need good health insurance benefits.  You never know when you will need them.  As we experience the aches and pains of this life, we have to cry out to the Lord for relief.  He is always there to help/comfort us.  I thank God for medicine and doctors.  God uses them, but we know that God is our ultimate healer.  He has the final power and authority over every sickness and disease.  We are called to praise/bless the Lord o my soul and all that is within us.  We are to bless His holy name.  As we bow down in His presence to worship, adore, respect and honor Him, don’t forget about His benefits:

(1 )  He forgives sinners of all of their iniquities/sins according to Psalms 103.  Because of God’s forgiveness of our sins, we have obtained salvation.  As far as the east is from the west, He forgives our past failures, and we are covered by the blood of Jesus Christ. (verse 12) We should praise God – shouting hallelujah and thank Him for forgiveness of our sins!
(2 )  He heals all of our diseases.  He heals us when we are sick – carrying out His perfect will, and He renews our strength when we are weak.  When we are weak, He is strong. (II Corinthians 12:10).
(3 )  He redeems our lives from destruction.  Praise God for deliverance from death.  We have hope and the assurance of eternal life.
(4 )  He crowns us with lovingkindness and tender mercies.  When you feel like no one loves you, remember God’s love for you is inexhaustible/immeasurable.  He is so merciful to us.
(5 )  He satisfies our mouth with good things.  Physical food satisfies us for a while, but the Word of God really satisfies our souls’ desires.  We try everything to fill our soul, but nothing really works but the Word of God – which is one of His benefits.  We should praise the Lord because the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him.  (verse 7).  Praise His holy name!

Prayer:  Thank You Father for mercy and for forgiveness of our sins.  Help us to walk close to you daily – loving You with all of our heart.  Without You and your benefits, we would be nothing.

"The Lord's Benefits" are certainly guaranteed, and surpass everything which this old world could ever offer. I thank our heavenly Father that our relationship with Him, through Jesus Christ--permits us to possess all that Jesus has! We are heirs...having eternal benefits being adopted into God's family! Hallelujah & Amen to the Giver of benefits and Keeper of His WORD to keep us focused on our inheritance!
