The Breakthrough - Part Three
Scripture: Philippians 1:6 – being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
After a “breakthrough,” we see how God uncovers His plan and purpose for us alongside our life steps. There are periods of benefits. We become fortified and encouraged to carry out the plan and purpose until eternity knowing that God does all things perfectly, prompt, and excellent. We have an abundance of gratitude and humbleness to our Sovereign Lord who works all things out according to His wonderful resolve and grace.
We see periods of encouragement like Ruth & Naomi. Their greatest bond was their shared faith in the one and only true God (Ruth 1:16-17).
There are periods of astonishment with security like Boaz, the “kinsman redeemer.” God often uses our small decisions to carry out His big plan. Abed, the son which Boaz had by Ruth, was the ancestor of both King David and Jesus Christ.
Then there are periods of acceptance to our call like people of faith showing God’s workmanship. Since we have security as a guarantee, the Holy Spirit, we move from suffering to glorification (Romans 8:28-30). God brings good things out of bad having our best interests always at heart. The Bible often says...after those days. breakthroughs are already set in the eternal mind of our Heavenly Father who brings light to the unknown in our situations. Breakthroughs are not instantaneous! They are specifically designed just for us. Therefore, we must go through the before and wait in order to get to the after breakthrough. Most importantly, breakthroughs are for eternal purposes in order that our faith in God reach a greater level, so that God can use us more for His kingdom. The great I AM is our breakthrough! Earthly breakthroughs allow us to see Jesus much clearer, and fortify us in this Rock of our salvation! We become like Jesus. As the Holy Spirit guides & directs our steps, we know and learn to understand that a man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps. While living here on earth, we have hopes and aspirations for a breakthrough not only for ourselves, but for others as well. Jesus broke through for the sins of the whole world! We rely on God to breakthrough for them as He has done for us.
We look forward to seeing our greatest breakthrough. Jesus Christ got up from the grave with all power and authority and proclaimed…”upon this Rock, I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Prayer: Hallelujah! What A Savior! We thank you Jesus that we can share this good news.
