The Breakthrough - Part Two
Scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6 – Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; 6In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
Awaiting a “breakthrough†while in our mortal bodies — everything temporal must be seen in light of our eternal destination. Ecclesiastes 9:10 reads: “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might, for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.â€
God gives abundant life now for us to love and enjoy Him. There will be periods of faith with action (James 2:18.) We must behave like children of God (Romans 12:9-2). We serve as to the Lord without complaining, or resentment (Colossians 3:23-24).
There will be periods of listening & worshipping like Mary, the sister of Martha & Lazarus. Mary sat at Jesus’ feet and listened (Luke 10:38-42). Later on, Mary was thoughtful enough to worship Jesus with a sacrifice of costly perfume (John 12:1-8).
There will be periods of purpose with determined focus, “to live is Christ†like the apostle Paul. We develop eternal values sharing the Gospel of Christ (Philippians 1:21-24).
There are periods like King David (Psalm 32). When utilizing Ist John 1:9, we are assured that we never fall out of God’s grace. God’s forgiveness brings us joy in Him. God’s determined will and plan to keep His Word stands. Proverbs 3:5-6 still apply since we get the chance to start all over again. Our election from God also brings us favor from Him. God said that David was a man after His own heart (1st Samuel 13:14 & Acts 13:22-23).
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, as we wait on our “breakthroughâ€, please help us to trust in you always. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
