He Will Strengthen You

Scripture: Ephesians 3:16 - That He would grant you according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man.

There are many times in the Bible that God strengthened His people.  This is so encouraging to me, because there have been many times in my life that  I needed strength/encouragement. Some of those times were:  when I had several  operations to remove precancerous cells; when my son, Shaun, was killed; when a close friend of my family, Michelle Wilson, committed suicide; when I kept getting shingles, and now I have to take shingles meds for the rest of my life; when my parents passed less than six weeks a part; when my sister, Andrea, had to have surgery to remove cancerous tumors, and had to have several discs in her neck removed; and when my mother-in-law, Victoria Shepherd passed.  If it wasn't for me having a personal relationship with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ - and therefore the Holy Spirit strengthening me during those times of discouragement, testing, fear, stress/pain, I probably would have had a nervous breakdown --  especially when my son, Shaun, was killed.  We never know what we will be facing regarding trials, but I know the Lord will see us through.  God is my all in all!!

God Is (by Walter Hawkins):
God is my protection.
God is my all in all.
God is my light in darkness.
God is my all in all.

God is my today and tomorrow.
God is my all in all
God is my joy in times of sorrow.
God is my all in all.

God is the joy and the strength of my life.
He moves all pain, misery, and strife.
He promised to keep me - never to leave me.
Never, never come short of His Word.
I've got to fast and pray - stay in the narrow way
Keep my life clean every day
I want to go with Him when He comes back.
I've come too far, and I'll never turn back.

God is, God is, God is, God is.
God is my all in all!!!!!   \\o//

When the Israelites passed through the Red Sea, they said "The Lord is my strength and my song (Exodus 15:2).  Psalms 27:1 says "the Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?  Psalms 46:1 says "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble ".  Nehemiah 8:10 says "Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is my strength".  Isaiah 40:30 promises that "those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not5 be weary, and they shall walk and not faint."  Paul said "Being strong in the Lord and in the power of His might (Ephesians 6:10).  II Corinthians 12:9-10 says "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.  Most gladly, therefore, will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore, I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ sake: for when I am weak then I am strong.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father:  I am thankful that I have a personal relationship with You, and that Your Holy Spirit is indwelled within me.  I am so appreciative that I can draw upon Your strength.  No matter what I am facing in my life, help me to always depend on, rely on, trust in You.  I trust that You will always give me strength as it says in Your word. Amen.
